The letter goes out in your name and with your signature, so read it and check every figure against your own documents before you send it.

Usually near the top of the statement, or beside the tear-off slip you would post a cheque to. One line each, like an envelope. Without it we can still write the letter, but you will have to address the envelope yourself.

How they can reach you — optional

The letter asks for a written reply within 30 days. Add an address, an email or a phone number if you want it printed on. Leave it blank and the letter asks them to use the address they already have for you, which is the one they posted the bill to.
